Businesses across Tewkesbury Borough are invited to apply for a new grant scheme. Funding is available to improve productivity and to strengthen the rural economy and rural communities.
Tewkesbury Borough Council will be distributing capital funding received through the Rural England Prosperity Fund into projects with beneficial outcomes for businesses in rural areas of the borough.
Applications will need to focus on small scale investment in micro and small enterprises in rural areas. This includes capital funding for net zero infrastructure for rural businesses, and diversification of farm businesses outside of agriculture.
Applications are now open and close at 9am on Monday, 11 December 2023.
Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Leader, and Lead Member for Economic Development/Promotion, Councillor Richard Stanley, said: “The Rural England Prosperity Fund Business grant is a fantastic opportunity to help rural businesses to grow and improve their productivity.
“The funding will provide a welcome boost to businesses across the borough while supporting our local economy.
“I really encourage all eligible businesses to apply.”
The total funding for the Rural England Prosperity Fund Business grant in year one is £40,000 and for year two is £160,000. Funding is open to businesses in rural areas of Tewkesbury Borough, and grant applications need to be between £3,000 and £24,999. This grant scheme is capital funding only.
