Have your say on draft charter setting out expectations of Garden Communities PRESS RELEASE

Local stakeholders and the wider public are now invited to provide feedback on the draft charter, including its content, design and any ideas for how it can be developed further.

Feedback can be submitted via an online questionnaire or emailed to gardencommunities@tewkesbury.gov.uk before 31 January 2024.

For anyone unable to access the form online, paper copies will be available from Northway Community Hub, Tewkesbury Library and Tewkesbury’s Public Services Centre.

If you have difficulty visiting these locations, contact 01684 272099 to arrange for a copy to be mailed to you.

Next steps

Once feedback has been received and the final version of the charter has been issued, all stakeholders will be invited to officially endorse it as part of a joined-up approach to the delivery of the Garden Communities programme.

Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Leader, Cllr Richard Stanley, said: “We’ve made a commitment to openness and collaboration as part of our new approach to the Garden Communities programme.

“Feedback from our residents, businesses and communities is crucial to ensure the Garden Communities meet local needs and reflect their values and aspirations. I encourage everyone to share their thoughts with us. Working together we can create new places that complement our existing communities and stand the test of time.”
