£80,000 funding available across Tewkesbury Borough through cultural and community grant schemes

Cultural, historical and heritage organisations and community buildings across Tewkesbury Borough are invited to apply for two new grant schemes. A total of £80,000 has been made available to support groups across the borough.

 

Tewkesbury Borough Council will be distributing capital funding received through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Rural England Prosperity Fund, to enhance or restore cultural, historical and heritage organisations and to improve the energy efficiency of community buildings.

 

Applications for both grant schemes are now open and close at 9am on Monday, 11 December 2023.

 

Tewkesbury Borough Council’s Lead Member for the Community, Councillor Cate Cody says: “I’m very pleased to announce the launch of these two grant schemes for funding projects of benefit to both our local communities and the environment.

 

“These grants have the potential to build upon community pride, help improve sustainability and support our important cultural and heritage institutions and I’m very much looking forward to seeing the positive impact they will have across the borough.

 

“I certainly encourage all eligible community organisations to apply.”

 

The schemes:

 

Tewkesbury Borough Council Capital Grant Scheme – Enhancing Cultural, Historical and Heritage institutions. 

 

The available funding for this scheme is £30,000. Funding is open to non-profit organisations in eligible rural areas of Tewkesbury Borough. Grant applications from groups will need to be between £2,500 and £24,999. This grant scheme is Capital funding only – any replacement or improvement costs cannot be defined as capital.

 

Tewkesbury Borough Council Capital Grant Scheme – Energy Efficiency for community buildings. 

 

The available funding for this scheme is £50,000. Funding is open to non-profit organisations in Tewkesbury Borough. Grant applications from groups will need to be between £2,500 and £24,999. This grant scheme is capital funding only – any replacement or improvement costs cannot be defined as capital.
